Out of curiosity we called a cattle buyer at the Oklahoma National Stockyards Monday evening just to see what the ongoing ice storm was doing to the market. His take: “It’s holding up pretty well given the weather. Feeder steers are doing really well–it’s the calf market that’s a bit cheaper.”
In an ice storm, that’s a pretty strong statement.
